Let me share with you my experience story about hiking. I love camping, and hiking trails. Sedona, Arizona is my second home. I always go there to exercise in different natural environments. My girlfriend, my son, and I went to West Fork Trail. We arrived at the front booth. I paid $10 for the U.S. Forest National Park. I found a parking spot, and parked my car there. I asked my son to come with us. My son said he was sick, and he stayed in my car. I said fine. My girlfriend, and I started hiking on the West Fork trail at Oak Creek Canyon. We continued to hike through the forest trees for a long journey. The trail became narrow because there were more Oak Creek Canyon rocks. There was a river at Oak Creek Canyon trail. We hiked through the river and covered the rocks. Our goal was to keep hiking around 4-6 miles up to Sedona red rocks, and sands. We felt we were on another planet like Mars. We kept hiking together to chat with each other. It was about 90 degrees outside. Suddenly, the full clouds showed up in the sky, then it started pouring rain. It kept raining. We said we had to go back where my car was parked in the U.S. Forest National parking lots. We did the right thing to go back. We did not want to get lost. We continued hiking and went back. The water flooded over the rocks on the river. We couldn’t see the rocks on the river. We lost our balance and hit rocks on the river. We saw Oak Creek Canyon cave so we decided to stay there because we did not want to get wet. It was difficult to see trail paths while heavy rain poured. We chatted each other while it continued raining for 15-20 minutes. I asked my girlfriend how long do you think raining will stop. She was not sure. We couldn't wait when the rain stopped so we decided to keep walking on trail paths. The temperature rapidly dropped to 60 degrees from 60 degrees due to heavy rain pouring with full cloud. We did not give up so we continued walking through the river. We couldn’t find the trail near the river. We got all soaked wet. couldn’t see it very well because our prescription glasses got wet. We kept walking to hit rock splashed water. We lost our balance because of water covered trail paths. We were not sure which path we should take. I hope to find my car parked out there. We arrived at the U.S. Forest parking lots, and there were no vehicles except my vehicle. Everyone was gone because of heavy rain, and it became cold. We laughed at each other. We were not mad at each other. It was funny because we did not get lost or get stuck at Oak Creek Canyon trail. If we took the wrong trail path, then we might stay there overnight. Wonder? My son stayed in the car because he was smart, but he was sick. Wonder? Good memory we had! WOW!
